Start by measuring your opening's length (X) and width (Y) to determine your perimeter, which is essential for selecting the correct grille size and style. Next, define your border sizes to ensure the perforated pattern doesn’t extend beyond the opening dimensions (B and C).

Cutting the correct opening size for your grille is important, but don't worry—our team can assist you in finding the proper dimensions.

2. Choose Your Optimal Airflow

Selecting a perforated grille involves choosing a pattern that provides the optimal airflow for your space. This is measured by the free air percentage, or the open area not covered by the metal pattern. For patterns with small vent holes, you'll need a higher free air percentage to allow more air to pass through the grille. Conversely, larger vent holes require a lower free air percentage.
