The consortium formed by Invepar and the ACSA (Airport Company South Africa) which operates some of the most efficient airports in the world, such as Johannesburg, South Africa, and Mumbai, India, won the bid in 2012 to manage and operate Guarulhos International Airport for the next 20 years.
During this period, the largest airport in South America (currently serving about 30 million passengers per year) will benefit from major investments in infrastructure, security, operations and passenger services. Terminal 3 will be completed before the 2014 World Cup, increasing the airport’s capacity with 12 million passengers per year. After full implementation and completion, Guarulhos will have a total capacity of 60 million passengers per year.
25’000m3 of basement slab in the main terminal 3 building is being treated with PENETRON ADMIX in order to improve its durability and protect against water penetration. Penebar SW55 is used for sealing of concrete joints.
