- The two-year project delivers raw water to Missouri American Water’s South Plant, serving residents in St. Louis County and parts of St. Charles County.
BILCO Products
- The project included stainless steel BILCO roof hatches with integrated pulley systems, allowing floor-level access for maintenance and replacement of six vertical turbine pumps.
- A large BILCO floor door with fall protection grating was also installed in the pump room to provide safe access where water intrusion is a concern.
The new intake structure rises 45 feet above grade and extends 45 feet below grade to maintain submerged intake screens. The facility houses six vertical turbine pumps and incorporates BILCO roof hatches and a floor door to provide safe, efficient access for maintenance and long-term operation.
