Quatrosense Environmental Ltd. (QEL) is a privately held, North American Corporation. The 18,000 square foot head office and factory is located in Richmond, Ontario, just outside Ottawa, Canada's capital. QEL manufactures and markets a wide selection of instrumentation for hazardous gas detection, combustion analysis, and flame detection. With this equipment QEL assists its customers in the protection of life, property, and the environment.

QEL was founded at Nepean, Ontario in 1986 with a strong commitment to research and development. The company designed leading edge products for the commercial building, municipal, and industrial process markets. The commercial building products gained immediate success, and by 1988, QEL had secured nearly 75% of the Canadian market.

In 1990 QEL built and moved into its current head office and factory facility in Richmond, Ontario. This facility, located on 7.7 acres of company owned land, would provide the necessary room to accommodate QEL's growth. In the same year QEL purchased RAB Dedesco Ltd., a local manufacturer of portable and continuous combustion analysers founded in 1970. Dedesco equipment utilized similar sensing technologies and had a strong reputation in the marketplace for quality and durability; a reputation it still enjoys today.
