Knauf Insulation Group forms Manson Insulation Ltd.

IPHOFEN, Germany - Knauf Insulation Group CEO Tony Robson announced the establishment of Manson Insulation Ltd. as a newly formed business fully owned by the Knauf Insulation Group headquartered in Iphofen, Germany.

The Knauf Insulation Group has acquired the rights to the Manson name and existing distribution contracts from Manson Insulation Inc. through an arrangement with the retiring owners. In addition, the Knauf Insulation Group has formed a new business, Manson Insulation Ltd, based In Montreal, to market and supply Manson branded insulation products in North America.

According to Mr. Robson, "Products will be manufactured by Knauf Insulation plants to current Manson specifications. Above this, we will maintain the Manson name as an independent brand in our portfolio."

Mr. Robson also announced that some of the current Manson sales, marketing and support staff will join Manson Insulation Ltd. and continue to service Manson customers with the aim for the customers to experience a seamless transition and continued high quality supply.

Insulation is recognized as the most cost effective means to improve energy efficiency in buildings and address greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to climate change. "The acquisition of a recognized insulation brand such as Manson, and continuing to provide insulation products under this established name is ‘win-win' for Knauf and Manson customers alike," according to Mr. Robson.
