About Insul-Tek® FRP Clad HT Steel
Insul-Tek® FRP Clad HT Steel
Dryable, Drainable, Air-Testable prefabricated preinsulated piping system for use on high temperature steam, high temperature hot water, and other fluid transmission applications.
Typical Uses:
Insul-Tek® HT FRP Clad HT Steel Conduit System features an outer conduit of 10 gauge smooth wall spiral-weld steel with a 100 mil coating of non-corrosive, filament wound Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP). Our FRP coating is the toughest and most durable coating available with excellent resistance to both chemicals and cathodic disbondment.
There is no need for expensive and maintenance oriented cathodic protection systems with the exterior FRP Cladding protection. The Insul-Tek FRP Clad HT Steel Conduit System is intended for use on applications with service temperatures above 250 degrees, mineral wool or calcium silicate insulation depending on service conditions and customer preference. The steel carrier pipe is supplied with insulated pipe supports at 10-feet intervals.
An air space is maintained between the insulation and the conduit casing to increase insulation efficiency as well as improve dryness and drainability of the piping system in the event it becomes wet.
