General Electric, a pioneer in the development of the Surge Protection Device, maintains a large and robust lineup of Surge Protection Devices. The SPD, formerly known as TVSS, is applied to many locations in the power distribution system. G.E. utilizes a best in industry sized MOV to provides surge ratings up to 300kA/mode. The units have been independently tested up 20,000 C3 surges with less than a 10% change in voltage clamping performance in both wall mount and integral designs. A din rail product rounds out the portfolio with the ability to provide up to 50kA surge rating on control bus applications. This is perfect for PLC, controls, and telecomm protection.
Tradenames: Tranquell, TR7000, TR5000.
