As part of an expansion and upgrade of the Dresden WWTP installation of a new Wastewater Oxidation Ditch Tank was deemed necessary for the processing and lowering of the biological solids in the waste stream. This project involves construction of the Wastewater OxidationDitch Tank consisting of an outside tank with 3 interior channels.

Xypex Bio-San C500 effectively kills the acid and sulfate producing Thiobacillus bacteria responsible for this type of degradation that is commonly found in sewerage infrastructure.
The tank is oblong with outside dimensions measuring 70’ x 96’ and it is 14’ in depth. The exterior walls, as well as, the interior channel walls are constructed of 12” cast in place concrete. Xypex Bio-San C500 has been used in all walls (650 cu/yds).
