(Spiceland, Ind.) –Attendees of the 2008 LightFair, NeoCon, Construct and Green Buildings New York trade shows who visit Draper’s booth will be presented with a pleasant surprise, and an opportunity to make a difference in the world.
Normally trade show attendees are inundated with paper catalogs and flyers and plastic CDs. However, Draper, Inc., a leading manufacturer of solar control window shades, projection screens and gymnasium equipment, is taking a different approach. LightFair, NeoCon, Construct and Green Buildings New York attendees who visit Draper’s booths will receive a USB Web key which, when plugged into a USB port on any Windows computer, will automatically navigate to a special Web site created specifically for Draper’s trade show presence. There, materials can be downloaded and read without wasting paper.
As an incentive for people to wean themselves from the trade show paper trail, for every LightFair, NeoCon, Construct and Green Buildings New York Web key registered on the company’s site, Draper will donate $5 to Heifer International. Heifer is dedicated to ending hunger by providing families with livestock and training. Heifer’s Little Rock, Ark.,-based international headquarters is a LEED-certified building, and includes Draper window shades.
Among the information available for download will be details of window shades and projection screen viewing surfaces offered by Draper, which have received the GREENGUARD® for Children and Schools certification for indoor air quality. The Greenguard Environmental Institute™ (GEI) GREENGUARD for Children and Schools performance-based standards define goods with low chemical and particle emissions for use in schools and other buildings. They are the strictest such standards on the market, and Draper was the first manufacturer to offer both window shades and viewing surfaces that meet those standards.
