Fahrenheit is a unique, recessed downlighting solution designed for new construction projects with strict fire-safety codes. The Fahrenheit fire rated housing is suitable for residential, commercial, multi-unit, senior living and hospitality applications. The housing carries a UL Listing for IC Installations which means it may be installed where the fixture will be in direct contact with ceiling insulation. Housings are available in 6”, 5”, 4”, and 3”versions and can accommodate a variety of trims. Lamp sources are compact fluorescent, line voltage incandescent, low voltage halogen, line voltage halogen GU10, and LED. Designed for use in commercial and residential new construction installations that require a 60-minute fire rating L500 floor ceiling design, the housing has been tested in accordance with the UL Classification based on standard "Fire Test of Building Construction and Materials UL263, ASTM E119, and NFPA No. 251". This means the housing is one hour fire rated with one layer of 5/8" gypsum board and is designed to meet a two hour rating for the ceiling assemblies with two layers of gypsum board.
