This was a large bus shelter in Detroit. EXTECH®'s role was to design and fabricate a cellular polycarbonate system to cover and protect the tops of the curved and tapered trusses.

The project turned out to be a great challenge because it was learned that the dimensional tolerances of the steelwork for the trusses was far beyond industry standards. EXTECH® re-designed its system so as to allow for large discrepancies in the steelwork.

We also voluntarily sent a mockup to the jobsite showing the installers how the components are assembled.
