D664 and D665 Stainless Steel Control Dampers. CSI 3-Part Specifications.
D664 and D665 Stainless Steel Control Dampers |
General
The D664 and D665 Stainless Steel Control Dampers ("Dampers") control airflow in conventional air handling systems in damp or corrosive environments. The D664 Damper has parallel blades and the D665 Damper has opposed blades. The stainless steel blades and frames, stainless steel side seals, and overlapping blades and seals minimize leakage. Blades interlock for better coverage and rigidity.
Features
Stainless steel construction for use in damp or corrosive environments
Stainless steel moving parts for reduced friction and lower required torque
Stainless steel side seal for minimal blade-end air leakage
Vinyl blade seal ensures very low leakage

Leakage Characteristics:
3.3 cfm per sq ft of damper face area at 1 in. wc
Air leakage ratings are based on tests of 48 x 48 in. ( 1219 x 1219 mm) Damper according to Air Movement and Control Association, Inc.
(AMCA) Standard 500 using Test Set-Up 5.5 with damper closing torque applied to Damper of 6 in. lb per sq ft of Damper area, with a
minimum of 25 in. lb.
Refer to the following leakage multiplier chart for leakage at pressures other than 1 in. wc:
Static Pressure in In. WC |
Multiplier |
1 |
1.00 |
EXAMPLE:
Leakage at 4 in. wc (2.00 x 3.3) = 6.6 cfm per sq ft
Actuator Sizing:
6 lb in. per sq ft of Damper face area, with minimum of 25 lb in.
Actuator (Electric, Pneumatic, or Electronic) Mounting:
External mounting: Stainless steel axles that extend 6 in. (152 mm) beyond frame, standard
Optional factory provisions for external or internal mounting:
Internal mounting: Uni-mount, for 1 or 2 sections, steel or stainless steel
Jackshaft: For multisection dampers, 1 in. (25mm) diameter steel or stainless steel
