Excel Access Control Supervisor
Full Management Reporting Capability:
Access Control provides a number of status reports, database listings, and historical
logs. Status reports indicate current condition of doors/elevators, lists all card holders
"in" each building area, and can highlight on a graphic the areas to which a
card holder is assigned. Database listings provide setup information for doors, elevators,
schedules, floor groupings, building areas, and card holder data.
Historical logs include:
Valid Transactions LogFor valid door transactions, outputs card number and identification information, reader location, and date and time of access.
Audit Trail LogIdentifies the files which have been changed by an operator.
Access Commands LogProvides a listing of all commands issued to a door or area by an operator.
Access Alarms LogProvides a listing of all door/reader locations that indicated an alarm condition.
Antipassback Control LogLists antipassback activities performed by operators.
Users determine which records are to be included in historical logs and whether to print or just display the output.
Multiple Card Technologies to Fit Specific
Applications:
A variety of card reader types and styles are available for use with Access Control.
Card reader technologies include magnetic stripe, barium ferrite, Wiegand, and proximity.
To accommodate building materials, applications, and building decor, the card readers are
available in insertion, swipe, turnstile, and SENSORKEY styles. For added security,
Personal Identification Number (PIN) Pads integral with or located next to the readers are
available. PIN Pads allow for entry of user-defined access codes. In addition, when using
special access codes, PIN Pads can notify the Graphic Central operator that entry is under
duress.
Distributed Database Provides Full
Stand-Alone Operation:
If AMCs lose communication with the Graphic Central, the AMCs can use their existing
data files to continue making access decisions. Once communication is reestablished, the
AMC requests current data for all respective cards and sends the transaction information
to Graphic Central. An AMC can retain up to 1000 transactions.
System Integration of Access Control, Fire
Alarm, Building Controls, and Energy Management:
An Excel Building Supervisor Integrated can also support R7044 Excel Plus
Controllers for energy management and HVAC control and FS90 Fire & Security Systems
for fire alarm control. With a fully integrated system, Excel Building Supervisor
Integrated can coordinate and control overall building functions. For example, to
accommodate off-hour cleaning personnel, Excel Building Supervisor Integrated can
coordinate Access Control and a lighting control program to simultaneously permit access
and temporarily light a particular area.
SENSORKEY is a trademark of Sensor Engineering Co.
