The PM760OG Single Zone Pro gram Module allows the W7600 System to control space or return air temperature in constant volume air handling unit applications.

The PM760OG Control Algorithm controls up to four stages of heating, four stages of cooling, modulating heating, modulating cooling and modulating economizer.

Description

The PM760OG Program Module is an Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EPROM) chip used with the W7600 Control System. The Program Module must be installed in the Network Compatible W7600A-F2XXX Control Module only. The PM760OG Single Zone System controls space or return air temperature when applied to constant volume single zone HVAC equipment. The PM760OG may also be configured to monitor and alarm various equipment safety and diagnostic functions such as smoke alarms, cooling failure, airflow failure and dirty filter. It also monitors discharge air temperature and space temperature and will register an alarm if the respective high or low temperature limits are exceeded.

The control algorithm allows the W7600 Single Zone Controller to be applied to HVAC equipment with staged heating and cooling, modulating heating and cooling, water or air source heat pumps and integrated or packaged economizers. The PM760OG allows for configurable minimum on, off and interstage time delays to ensure equipment protection.

The W7600 Single Zone System satisfies the space temperature setpoint by first reading the zone sensor input, and then energizing heating or cooling in the HVAC unit. The system also keeps the discharge air temperature within a set of limits. See Fig. 1.

The W7600 Single Zone System can be applied to various buildings that use packaged rooftop equipment from 5 to 50 tons. However, the W7600 Single Zone control flexibility allows it to be applied to larger systems or built-up systems with chilled water hot water or steam coils.

Control Modules and accessories designed specifically to comment the operating system are listed in Table 1. Only those accessories listed are compatible with the Network Compatible PM760OG Program Module.
